Catacombs Cave mapHere’s a Catacombs Cave map. This intricate and challenging cave is over a mile long. While the first several hundred feet can be navigated standing, soon you’ll be forced to crawl. For experienced cavers only!

Lava Beds Cave Loop mapThis is an alternate Cave Loop Road map, showing cave details and layout underneath the parking areas and points of interest. This map does a great job showing the size of the cave complex.

Lava Beds cave mapHere’s a Lava Beds cave map, showing the location of different caves in the park beyond the Cave Loop Road: Merrill Cave, Balcony Cave, Boulevard Cave, Valentine Cave, Heppe Cave, and Skull Cave.

Lava Beds regional maps

Lava Beds regional mapThis is the regional Lava Beds map, showing the park in relation to I-5, Klamath Falls, Mount Shasta, and other locations. Click the image to view a full size map or download the PDF.

Lava Beds geologic mapHere’s a geologic map of Lava Beds National Monument, showing the rock layers and physical and volcanic features of the park. It includes roads and points of interest for easier orientation as well.

Archived Lava Beds maps

The National Park Service often publishes new maps and updates old ones; I do my best to upload new Lava Beds National Monument ones I find to this page. As maps get updated, I move old ones down to this section. I never delete maps as I want to preserve the story of how parks change over time. But be advised: the maps down here have newer versions further up this page.

Lava Beds mapThis is the old Lava Beds map from the mid-2010s brochure, showing the entire park including roads, trails, and lava fields. Click the image to view a full size map or download the PDF.

Lava Beds park mapThis is an early 2010s Lava Beds National Monument map. Although it’s now out-of-date, I still like this edition because it shows all cave names and locations, something the modern brochure map doesn’t do.

Lava Beds Campground mapThis is an old Lava Beds Campground map that shows all the campsites in both loops as well as the amphitheater, restrooms, parking areas, and beginning of the Bunchgrass Trail and Three Sisters Trail.
